On March 16, 2000, Atlas Games and Human Head Studios announced that Atlas Games will publish a licensed pen-and-paper roleplaying game based on Human Head's Rune 3D action computer game.

Atlas Games is a Roseville, Minnesota publisher of pen-and-paper roleplaying games, card games, and boardgames. Its active product lines include the Ars Magica, Feng Shui™, and Unknown Armies™ roleplaying games. It is also the publisher of the popular Lunch Money™ and Once Upon A Time™ card games, and the Cults Across America™ board game.
